Truly Grateful

In America, we have just about anything we could ever want or need.  From the time we are born, most of us have so many "things" we can't possibly NEED or even USE them all!  Most of us don't really know what its like to wonder where our next meal will come from.  Simply put, were spoiled.

How does this effect us in our homes?  By having everything at our fingertips we have forgotten to be truly thankful and grateful for the things we have.  We take for granted the blessings that we have.  We adults are just used to having the latest gadget or technology and consequently the children in the home follow suit.

I'm not suggesting that having the latest thing is wrong; however, what I am saying is that we need to remember to stop once in awhile and be truly grateful for all the blessings that God has sent our way.  Its so hard sometimes to see them when were so caught up in aquiring the next new thing.

This month, let's make a conscious effort to be thankful and grateful for the blessings that we have.  It will make our homes a new place to be!
