Friday's Fave Five

1. A lovely afternoon tea with my mom and daughter. This is our Mother's Day tradition--my gift to my mom every year. We go the day after Mother's Day and just enjoy being together..along with good tea and food.
2. My baby's first cold that seems to be healing on its own.
With our past history of ear infections, I was a bit apprehensive, but Jerrod seems to be doing much better without a fever or any other indicators of ear infection. Holding my breath...
3. Time with my sister and her husband.
They get to visit for little short bursts and not very often, so it was good to have about two days to see them this time before they went to spend two days with his parents.
4. Hearing Akron Symphony perform. Even though it was a kids' concert, I really enjoyed it and enjoyed seeing the kids hear an orchestra live for the first time.
5. Catching up with a friend from high school that I've known since 2nd grade. We went to school together all the way through to graduation and have kept in touch ever since. Since she recently joined the "stay-at-home-moms" club, we decided NOT to stay at home and caught up on the latest happenings in our lives while our kids played at McDonalds.

  2. oh is it not wonderful to find old school friends. SO glad that your little one is getting over the cold. i know how it feels I raised 2 asthmatics who seemed to be sick most of the time when they were little. Now as teens they still get colds but we have learned to deal with them much better even when we head down that old famiiar road of bronchitis or pneumonia

  3. That sounds like a lovely Mother's Day tradition! I wish I had lived closer to my mom and could have had more visits like that.

Glad your little one's cold is going away. It's so hard when they're sick.

I remember those McD get-aways with other mom friends when mine were little. Those were fun times for us all. It's so helpful to get together with other moms, especially with an old friend. Glad you got to visit with your sister and her husband, too, and the concert sounds great!

    Have a great weekend!

  5. It sounds like you had a lovely week! What could be better than time with family and friends? -- eating out can't hurt either!

God bless you and your family.

  6. Mother's Day tea. What a lovely tradition!

Sounds like we both enjoyed out symphony concerts put on by students. It was our first time and it was really nice.
