Friday's Fave Five (My Kids Edition)

1. A seven-year-old who sucessfully completed her first set of achievement tests. No results yet, but the teacher who administered them said she did very well.

2. A 3-year-old who uses words like "pry", "snatch" and "for esample".
Does this crack up anyone but me?

3. An eight-month-old who is starting to scoot instead of crawl and sort of stands up to things until he realizes he's doing it!

4 and 5. (or should I say 4, 5 and 6? Oh well.)

  1. Great list, even better pictures. Those are adorable. I finally got back into the groove this week and posted, but your pictures are just too sweet.

  7. I love to hear the little ones use those big words! I kept a list of the 'made up' big words my kids used, too. Enjoy these wonderful days with your children!

  8. My mom reminded me to do something that I will be so glad I did in later years... Record those little voices. :) She said she did that with me and it is so fun to sometimes go back and listen to my babblings as a child. I think my kids would enjoy hearing that too. We were at a friends house at Christmas and they pulled out a tape of their son at 3, 4 and 5. He is now graduating from highschool. We all sat around the table listening to him talk, sing and tell a little story. It was so fun and by the end, we were all in tears!

The pics of your little ones are so sweet. Hope you have a great weekend. I would have to think on a fave five, but my top would be Husband is off for the weekend. Yeah!

  9. I started recording with my daughter after I heard a man (can't remember his name now) talk about how precious those recordings were after he lost all of his kids in a flood (and his wife). I need to get that recorder out again. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks to the rest of you, too, for allowing me to "brag" on my little ones a bit.

  10. I love listen to the new phrases children pick up as they're learning to talk. My two year old always tells me "I hold you mommy," when she wants me to pick her up.
