Pumpkin Project

I absolutely love fall!  The scents, the colors, the flavors, the décor, the weather...yup!  I love it all!  And since I happen to think I'm not the only one who enjoys the season, I thought I'd share with you a quick and easy craft idea.  I found this project works great for group gatherings where there are a variety of women with different tastes and levels of creative abilities.  These adorable pumpkins can be customized to fit any household!  An added plus is that the cost of the project is minimal!

Let's get started with the details:

Step one:  Cut a fabric circle about 20-22" in diameter.

Step two:  Place a roll of toilet paper in the center of the wrong side of the fabric.

Step three:  Surround the TP roll with a goodly amount of pillow stuffing/batting.

Step four:  Tuck the edges of the fabric into the center of the TP roll, trying to keep it fairly even all the way around.

Step five:  Use a couple of cinnamon sticks to anchor the fabric in place.  Hot glue can also be used to keep the pieces firmly anchored.

Step six:  Tie some raffia around the cinnamon sticks then decorate to taste with silk fall leaves, berries, etc. to complete the look.

Well, what do you think?  We have several around our house!

May your fall be full of wonderful memory-making moments, crunchy walks through the leaves, cups of steaming cider, pumpkins, apples, and most of all, an abundance of thankfulness!

God's faithfulness is worthy of our heartfelt thanks no matter what our situation or circumstances! I heard a speaker recently who stated that, "Praise is being thankful for what God has done.  Worship addresses the immutable characteristics of God no matter what is going on in your life."

Let's worship with our whole hearts all throughout this beautiful season!!!

Blessings on all who read this post,
