Fun Friday: Five Questions

As you know, this has been a rather unproductive week for me in terms of blogging. There were no How We posts or Reviews scheduled for today, so I decided to do something else unproductive like participate in a meme.

If you want to answer the questions, too, feel free to link up at My Little Life or just answer in the comments box. If, however, you were looking for something with a little more depth.....um.....check back next week! Hope you have a great weekend!

1. Are you looking forward to the time change this weekend? Absolutely! Not. I do not relish losing any more sleep than I already do. However, as one mom pointed out to me this week, it might help my children sleep longer if it is still dark at 7 A.M.

2. Are you getting the new iPad/would you want a iPad?
Doubt it. I got a Netbook last year and an iPhone this year. That's enough portable technology for me. Everything I would do on an iPad can be done on those two gadgets. I could do with a little less "technology at my fingertips" actually.

3. If money was not a problem, what is the one thing you would splurge on?
Food. Yep, I would enjoy shopping the organic section for produce and being able to afford raw milk and high quality chocolate on a regular basis. Add in as many free-range chickens as I want, and I will feel like a millionaire. I know, I'm weird. But, a brand new car wouldn't last as long as a healthier family would.

4. How did you and the Mr. (or Mrs.) meet?
We met at a youth retreat at his church which I never would have attended otherwise (it was over 2 hours away from me). We were engaged on the same day a year later.

5. Summer is right around the corner. Bikini or one-piece?
Again, I'm one of the weird ones that believes modesty principles are still in place even when water is involved. If I wouldn't wear it to church or the store, I don't wear it to the beach.

  1. I'm hoping that the earlier darkness helps my boys sleep in a bit too! We're early risers over here (as in 5am early!).

  2. Oh, I just got goosebumps! You and your hubs were engaged exactly one year after you met? Wow, what a perfect and romantic story to pass down. Great answers! I'm totally with you about the new car vs. healthy family, by the way. =)

  3. Oh wow, Sandy! That's earlier than I get up! I sure hope it helps you, too!

  4. Saturday Sadie,
Yes, my husband planned to ask me to marry him on that day! He's sentimental about dates like that. Some of our friends we met after we were married tell us the same thing happened to them.

  5. Wow, Jennifer, were we separated at birth? lol. I read your answers, and I was so happy that there is someone else who thinks and feels like I do. :-) 1)I am not looking forward to losing an hour's sleep. 2)No Ipad for me. I don't have an iphone, either, just a regular phone. If I need to call or text anyone, I can do it. I have enough technology with my laptop, lol. :-) 3)I really smiled when I read your answer to this one, because my husband and I were just talking about how we'd love to be able to raise chickens and afford organic for everything, including raw milk! We get what we can afford, but it is so difficult. We would like to get a used RV someday so we can take the kids to see so much more of our beautiful country on long weekend trips. (and be able to homeschool at the same time) 4) My husband and I met through a friend when I was 17 and he was 19, home on leave from Germany. We spent several days together before he flew back and wrote letters for some time. We were reunited 10 years later and when I finally found him and we spoke on the phone, he told me that he wasn't going to let me get away this time and that he was going to marry me. :-) That was in June. He got a job transfer to be nearby in August, we were engaged a few days before Christmas and married the following August. It is our own little Cinderella story. :-) 5) I, too, believe in modesty. I wear only skirts/dresses to my knee or below and try to find something for the beach that is modest, as well. It definitely will not be a two-piece and most of the time, the one piece suits aren't any too modest, either.

    1. Lisa,
Hi! Thanks for your comment. We do have similarities although your romance story is very unique and special. God leads us in special ways, doesn't He? I so appreciate your stopping by!
