Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY:  Tuesday, November 9, 2010

Outside my window...it is a beautiful, sunny day far warmer than one would expect in the second week of November.

I am thinking...that it is time to get life back to a semblance of order around here...at least until the holidays.

I am thankful for...God's giving me peace about a situation in my life today from an unexpected source.

From the learning rooms... Jessica is getting more interested in piano and handwriting and Jeffery is becoming quite the kindergarten math whiz. Jerrod is recognizing a few more colors and saying a few more words and Joey is learning to sleep a bit longer.

From the kitchen...I'm in a bit of a cooking slump right now and in need of fresh inspiration for easy recipes.

I am creating...Christmas lists for the kids and organization lists for myself.

I am going...nowhere until tomorrow, although my car looks like it will get a workout the next three days.

I am reading…What Would Jesus Eat?, Created to Be His Help Meet and His Princess:Love Letters from Your King--yes, all at the same time--I read the one that fits my mood at the time.

I am hoping...all of us adjust to the time change pretty soon.

I am hearing...the kids playing games on the computer--I'm not the only one have "computer time" right now.

Around the house...I have some laundry and dishes to catch up, then helping my husband work on a project in the basement.

One of my favorite things...a cup on hot coffee on a chilly morning.

A few plans for the rest of the week: grocery shopping (hoping to switch back to monthly soon--I've been in the grocery store WAY TOO MUCH since Joey has been here), piano lesson, gym class, Joey's 1 month doctor appointment.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
I can't believe it's been a month already!

  1. Check out http://e-mealz.com! It's a really great recipe website. It cost a little bit of money every month but the recipes and grocery lists are great. If you decide to buy it, use the coupon code DAVE for an extra savings. This is a Dave Ramsey savings! Just a thought to your cooking slump! Joey is beautiful! Blessings!
