What's For Dinner, Mom? (Review and Giveaway)

Have you heard those words before? We probably all have at one time or another. I finally posted the week's menu on the fridge to prevent the question. That kind of backfired since I frequently switch the meals around to different days. I've met more than one disappointed look and its accompanying, "But we were supposed to have hamburgers tonight!" Oops!

While this book may not solve that particular dilemma for you, it is chock full of tips and recipes and kitchen wisdom from a veteran mom of 8. As you may remember, I'm not quite on board with once-a-month freezer cooking, but I never realized all the many ways to implement freezer cooking. Lorrie Flem, of Eternal Encouragement Magazine, shares her own method which, thankfully, does not involve a whole day in a hot kitchen at once. I just may try it myself!

Even if you have perfected your own food preparation method and never have a panic attack when your children ask you "What's For Dinner, Mom?", you can still benefit from the last section of the book. Lorrie shares her family's favorite recipes which were tested by other families as well as her own with their own personal reviews.

I know I will be trying a few of her super simple recipes, and I just may delve into freezer cooking once more. By the way, she has plenty of dishes that do not involve freezing ahead of time for you to try.

One of the Gabby Moms reviewers and her readers will each win a printed copy of this book of almost 200 pages of kitchen wisdom. I hope it's me and you! Leave a comment on this post and your e-mail address to enter!
