Review of Yelling: The Cause, The Casualty, The Cure

I am excited to work with Eternal Encouragement as one of their Gabby Moms (no comments, please)! When they sent me a copy of their e-book, Yelling: The Cause, The Casualty, The Cure, I felt a bit smug. The only time I really raise my voice to my children is when one of them is involved in a potentially dangerous situation (which does happen quite often with 3 boys in the house).

However, the more I read this short but powerful e-book;  the more I realized how an impatient sigh or a harsh, critical word can be just as destructive as yelling at my children. The practical tips in this book were helpful for any mother who wants to build a better relationship of encouragement with her child.

Speaking of encouragement, whether you are a "yell-er" or not, you will not feel chastised by this book. I was encouraged to read a simple plan to help me stop my critical words and felt motivated instead of being overwhelmed with an impossible change.

I would heartily recommend this to any mother of children whether she is a screamer or a sigh-er.
